I found an ignition advance unit which advances the ignition by 4 degrees. Is there any point in doing this to a stock motor?... they claim quicker throttle response and improved performance.... any thoughts guys?

 

I've heard that they really aren't worth the money. It might give you a little more power but its at the expense of beating on your engine all the time. The biggest power increase you can cheaply do for your bike is a jet kit/proper tune. I looked at the advancer once and decided that I'd just skip it.
