I have a 98 f3 with 10,000 miles on it, never no electircal problems before.....i went to get on it and start it and I turned the key to the on position and everythings was normal, but when I went to Hit the start button, i pushed it and it went click! and the oil/neutral/side stand lights went out and nothing after that!!!!i checked the battery and it has 12.89 volts and i did a check on the relay under the seat and its Okay! could it be the ground wire or the starter? selonoid!??????????? has anyone had this same problem before!!?????

 

never dealt with that! sometimes we think its something major when its just a fuse.. should be the first thing you check, but its seems its the last thing i think of. try that. Just a thought

 

Never had a starting problem but sounds like the starter to me,can you pushed started it?

 

keep a meter on the battery while you try to start it. if it drops below 10.0 volts its more than likely bad. if it doesn't change i would check the battery connections at the battery and at the starter. Batteries can show good voltage without a load and completly crap out once there is a load applied

 

i know its obvious but deff check the fuses 1st.
