Bike was running ok. Heard a ticking noise while it was running last week so i shut it off. I just tried to start it again and when I hit the button to start it all i get is a click but wont turn over. It wont even try to start. Just a click every time i hit the start button. I am about to move into a house with a garage so i will be able to start breaking it down and trying to figure out what the problem is. Any ideas where i should start with?

Also wanted to add the battery is brand new so its not the battery.

Check the connections on the silenoid. I had corrosion and cleaned them to solve the problem.

What does the voltage read across the terminals? Even though it is a new battery, if there is something going bad it might drain the battery since last week.

I was also thinking about if you take the battery and put it on a charger for a day then try to start it.
