my headlight keeps blowning on my bike. first the low beam burnt out. so i replaced the bulb. went and started my bike finally after a week of cold weather and both the low and high blew last night. so i switched out the bulb for the old one with just the high beam and rode to my girls house. when i got there the high beam was burnt out of the old bulb. any idea of what the problem could be. im gonna check the wire continuity later today. could it be in the switch? oh yeah the previous owner never put the dust cover back on and lost it.

That might have some affect on it. If any grease or oil gets on the glass it overheats the bulb causing it to blow. Other than that he may have to large or a fuse letting to much current to the bulb itself.
