can anybody tell me what the small diameter hose coming out of the fuel pump is for or where it connects? I know the two main lines are incoming fuel from tank-filter and the outgoing one is to the carbs but how about the skinny one attached to the part where the wire comes out?

Any help is appreciated.

unfortunately, no, I have the same images but it lacks the detail for the fuel pump.

anbody else have any ideas?

 

im going off of memory but i thought that was just a vent or overflow or somthing...i thought it justhung down next to the swing arm..im not near my bike but i think thats how it is

 

thanks for the info...after messing with air and fuel hoses all weekend I came to the same conclusion. Also, found out there are two different setups depending on if your bike was made for California or not.
