Use a 2004 GSXR1000 rectifier. Thats what I did on my f2. Worked awesome,

ok question would it harm anything if i just kicked started my bike all the time and left the battery out and disconnected? also would my lights and stuff power of the alternator

 

our bikes need the battery to be able to run our electrical system. it isnt like a car where you can dissconect the battery and let it run on the alternator alone.

you said that your regulator has gone out 2 times on you. when it happened the 1st time what did you do ? how did you fix the problem ?

 

ok well it is for sure the rectifier. today i jump started my bike and checked the voltage at the battery with the bike running and at about 4k rpms. the battery voltage was at like 22-23 volts. [:@] just replaced the stupid thing march 27th.[:@]

 

Shouldn't the volts at the battery when running at that RPM be around 15volts? I just replaced mine with the 05 GSXR 1000 and it only goes to 15 volts at 5000 RPMS
