dang rectifer
ok so my regulator has went out for the second time!!!![:@] are the regulators with the cooling fins better then without? also where do you guys think i could get this the cheapest? i found one with fins for 74.99 http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/ca...2ebaeb343f8007
our bikes need the battery to be able to run our electrical system. it isnt like a car where you can dissconect the battery and let it run on the alternator alone.
you said that your regulator has gone out 2 times on you. when it happened the 1st time what did you do ? how did you fix the problem ?

ok well it is for sure the rectifier. today i jump started my bike and checked the voltage at the battery with the bike running and at about 4k rpms. the battery voltage was at like 22-23 volts. [:@] just replaced the stupid thing march 27th.[:@]
