dang glad to be here!!
Peace & Safety to all, my name is James and I am from Southern - West Virginia. I have been a 2 wheeled addict since my first bike (1978 Honda CB350) that I purchased from my friends dad in 11th grade (1988). I recenty purchased my 5th bike (2003 954rr) and I was stumbling around the internet looking to put some more damage on my check book and stumbled across the CBR forum. Great group of guys/gals from what I can tell, and I am just dang glad to be here!
If I can be of any assistance to anybody with some of my limited knowledge I would be glad to help out. One of my close friends owns a motorcycle/jetski/4wheeler dealership in town. Thanks again - PEACE!! James

Hey James..welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new and I saw your post. Sweet bike. I almost bought an 03 954RR but I decided that going to a liter bike was a bit premature. I used to ride dirt in high school, a bit of road in college, and then didn't do any riding until a little over a year ago when I bought a Katana 750 (a 14 year dry spell). I loved the bike but wanted something faster. After a brief test ride of the 954RR I felt that it would be a bit too big of a jump from a Katana so I bought an 03 f4i. It has plenty of power for me but I'll probably be ready to move up to a liter bike in a year or so. Anyway, that's my story. By the way, do you (or anyone else out there) have an opinion on frame sliders? I'm planning on getting in some track time this summer and was wondering if sliders are a good idea. My understanding is that they protect the bike a bit if you go down..any thoughts. Scott
Hey thanks guys for welcoming me to the forum. SCOTT - I wish I would have had the sliders on atleast two occasions, both in the garage as the bike was knocked over accidentally. The sliders would have saved me some serious cash for new fairings, turn signals, bar ends etc. I would get a nice looking set (my opinion), they look a little funny but there are two types of motorcycle owners - (1) those who have knocked thier bike over and - (2) those who probably WILL knock thier bike over. ha ha. Both times my bike was knocked over I didnt have anything to do with it. Thanks again for making me feel welcome. If anybody lives near southern WV and wants to hit the twisties let me know. James
Nice bike and welcome to the family. We too here at the forum wish to share information with each other and hope to benefit in all ways. Continue to post pics and exchange ups and downs as we grow together. Keep huggin'!
Thanks for having me. Everybody has made me feel welcome. I look forward to exchanging some info. If I can help any of you with anything, please let me know. Thanks again - James
