Hey whats up guys I just gota180 put on my bike and after reading these forums it looks like I made a mistake..but the good part is I live in Kansas so not too many twisties and I really don't drive that fast...

hopefully you have that 180 on a F3 rear rim like i do or youcould bein for a really bad outcome..

That big of a tire on an F2 rim is dangerous man... 160 is the max you can/should go on an F2 rim. Just be careful dude.

+1, that is too big of a tire to be on aF2 rim, when i wanted to do it there wasnt a shop around that would mount one.. thats why i had to go to the bigger rim.
i have heard of people doing it but if that things pops off the rim from being stretched to the seats of the rim.. BAD BAD outcome.. and considering the tire flex.. be overly cautious especially when cornering.

I'd take it off, get a 160, and sell the 180 to someone in town.

I just checked and there is a 170 on the bike my co-worker let me use while he was on vacation. Is that a problem?

no thats not a problem, as a rule of thumb you can go up one size safely..

I got to reading thisand I have been running a 180 for about 2 years now. I have no problem in corners or have I ever had a problem with it in anyway. I understand the concern but I run though about two tires a year and still never had a problem.
