Can I put a 530 chain on my 1998 Honda cbr600 F3? someone please tell me I can. lol Totally purchased it and overlooked it being a 530 instead of the 520 i was looking at!

 

The 1998 CBR 600F3 takes a 525 chain. The 530 chain will however work. You should have 530 sprockets as well. The 530 chain will work on 525 sprockets, however there will be some lateral play in the chain. Essentially the width of the chain will be wider than the thickness of the sprockets. My recommendation would be to get the correct chain and sprockets for your bike. Going with a 520 setup is not going to give you much in the way of weight loss since you'd be going from a 525.
