im pretty sure you can just use the f4i temp sensor if you need to go bigger when you go to to redrill and tap. if you cant drill/tap out the same size at least you have another option

personally speaking I would think you'd need a new head if you split it... J/B weld just isn't gonna cut it unless the size of the tear is minuscule.

On second note, I can find full F3 engines for 350.00 - 500.00 on ebay... so you might want to look into that for extra parts... might be worth the extra cash. Hell, you could keep it as a backup or even sell the other parts.

I've seen guys who made an Inline for the f4i and the 900rr temp sensors which worked just fine. I'm sure it's quite a bit of work, but it's totally doable if you can fix your current head.

Does the temp sensor need to work for the thermostat to work? I found out my fan wasn't kicking on so I hard wired it to turn on when the bike is on so hopefully that will keep the bike cool too. I have a new head just have to dismantle the bike and put everything in and then time it. Honda wants about a grand to do it. they say it is a 12hr job.
