hey i know it sounds dumb but i did it, make sure your spark plug wires are in the correct order going to the corect coils

 

sounds like you overtightened something in the gear box when you was in there, or maybe installed a wrong part thats causing it to bind, which would give you a good free rev, but bog it down like the brakes are on when in gear, I'm basing this on a assumption that the bike revved fine before you messed with the gears????

 

Yeah the bike ran fine before messing with the gears. It revs sloweven when you're in neutral with the clutch in.To me that would leave out most of the internal stuff. Maybe not. I was thinking it had to be something easy, but I'm running out of easy things.

Ok. I did some more diagnosing and the bike is running way lean. The best I could get is around a 16:1 A/F ratio with the choke on. Now I just have to figure out why its running lean.
