Default Another problem....

I was going to meet my GF last night when I noticed that my front brakes dont turn on my brake light. The back brake does turn on the brake light, just not the front.

I know that it used to, I checked it out before I purchased it and it all worked.

When I get home from class Ill be checking the fuses, the wires leaving the front brake. What else should I look at when trying to fix it?

i had this same problem when i got mine. there is an actual module that you should..when working correctly... hear a faint "click" when the front brake is pulled in. mine wasnt doing it, so i took it off, and took it apart, and once you get it in your hands, you will see how it operates. as the brake is applied, it pushes a small lever in that makes an electrical connection. the contacts in there get dirty, and spread out. i had to move them closer together with a small flathead for them to work better. i know this doesnt sound like it makes much since, but once you take it off and take it apart you will see how it works.

its on the front right handle bar, right at the beginning of your brake lever. has 2 wires coming out of it i believe.

Thanks for the input.

I figures it out, that little box has a switch on it. When the switch is out the light is on, and it makes contact with the back of the lever. I took the switch off clicked it a few times to make sure the signal was going through and put it back on and it worked.

Damndest thing. I'm glad I noticed it yesterday, I would have hated getting rearended because of no brake lights.
