just driving and dam the just the headlight goes out. shook all the wires and nothing then it would just come on and then it did it a few more times agin later that night. not fun at all. i put in a new light and made sure it was tight and also the head light fuse. this happen to anybody else.

 

It's fairly common for the solder joint on the Start Switch to break lose. The most common symptom is the headlight goes out. Have you ever noticed that when you start your bike, the headlight turns off. Well it's that switch that does this. It's a fairly easy fix.

 

Take the dimmer switch apart and make sure the solder on the wire (purple) I think is good. My F3 did this to me on the way home and that was the issue. Good luck.
