As I’m cleaning the carbs again, I noticed the bystarter jet is completely clogged. I sprayed and sprayed and blew 100 psi into it and nothing is coming out the other side. Is their another way to stick something in there without damaging it? 3 out of 4 are completely blocked, 1 of them is just barely allowing the compressed air through . #1 is the diagram below
hi. did you remove choke plunger first ? you may need to remove it first and then you can see the hole there. so when you spray cleaner or blow some air you can see/feel it comes from that side
That’s definitely good to hear! I got 3 of the carbs cleared but I’m thinking #3 might be damaged. That orifice is so small it looks like it’s kind of warped like somebody put a tiny needle in there and messed up the whole. From what I found missing/installed incorrectly I’m guessing the mechanic wasn’t too great. Do they even make drillbits that small? I’m looking into used carb assemblies now as I’m thinking this is not repairable :/

@Streetstyle54 Air is not going to do anything to blow that out. It is going to take soaking to soften it up (hopefully) or dissolve it. If you can get it lit just right, you can see the hole you're trying to clean.
This is what you're looking at. That hole is smaller than 0.018". It might be 0.015". I know because I have some carburetor/welding tip files and my smallest one is that small and it just barely will not fit. The guitar strings are good, but maybe to flexible. That hole is just a little ways down from the top. Look for a wire brush with tiny bristles that you can steel a single bristle from. Hold that with needlenose pliers or a pair of hemostat's if you have any of those lying around. Take you time. You'll get it.

finally got it! Now just have to remove the pilot screws and do another once over. If this gets me through the summer I’ll disassemble and give it a good soak. Thanks so much bro for the tips! Will post back this weekend when she’s back together and see how it runs! 🙏🏻

So after installing the carbs I tried it once and no start. I replaced spark plugs 1 and 4 because those are the easiest and it fired up and ran on just those 2 cylinders. Now I gotta try to find my universal socket or a way to change 2 and 3 spark plugs without removing that ram air 😳 thanks a lot guys for all the help, when it fired up I felt like a kid on Christmas morning!
