95 CBR600F3 Turns over and dies
Perfect. Greatly appreciated! I'm determined to have this the last time I have these carbs off lol. I do know about counting the turns, thanks for the reminder. I bought a carb kit and am putting in all brand new jets. I wasn't sure off hand if this needle was included but figured I would take it out and clean it.
I also bought a new air filter even though the old one doesn't look bad. Also swopped out all 4 spark plugs and the fuel filter. Only thing left is the carb situation.

Got the kit. The pilot adjustment screws are included. Started removing them and interestingly enough, carb 4 was 2 turns and cards 1-3 were 1 1/2 turns. Book specs out at 2 1/2 turns. Is there a reason they are that far out? Does this mean someone adjusted them already or do they have a tendency to adjust out of spec over time?
Matthew, quick note as I am still going through this, clean every passage and jet until they are perfect. You don’t want to have to take them off multiple times. Mine sat for 10 years so thats why I had an unusual amount of problems I feel and am at the point of replacing jets.
There could be a couple reasons why they're different. Somebody could have just put them in without thought, or they could have tuned them perfectly. The 2.5 value is a pretty good guideline. The tuning process is to adjust them one at a time until the RPM maxs out, then back it iff 50rpm Then adjust the idle **** back to 1,200 rpm. Then move on to the other 3 repeating the process eaxh time.
If the latter is what happened and they are different, Id check your valve clearances.

All back together. Cant get it to turn over. Question on the fuel pump... So I’ve tried for maybe a dozen times to turn it over. I checked the float bowls and only 1 bowl has gas coming out. It the bowl that the bike is leaning towards. I felt the fuel pump as I tried kicking it over and I feel it pulsating. I would think that is good enough to say its firing. Could it be clogged? What else would prevent gas from filing the bowls at this point. I would think It would take this long to fill from being dry.
