Hey has anyone tried swaping out the rear shock with a 600rr? I found this video and it looks very possible. Cheap too, you can get a rear shock for about 30 bucks one ebay . The man says that the shocks are the same length and the stock linkage was also used.

Has anyone tried this? The only other stuff I could find was people saying the res would get in the way of the frame but I guess not. What say you?

Bump, I'd like to get an answer too.

The shock on my F4 needs replaced (or resprung) and going to a newer 600RR shock would be ideal...

 

Word. I asked the guy who made that video if he actually mounted it up and rode that bike. He said no, not yet. Ill post up if/when he does do that.

 

I just ordered an 08 600RR shock. I'll let you know how it works out...should be perfect.

i would have said no way, but perhaps the video is kinda convincing. It still doesnt look like there will be room for the resi to me. from the vid that is, and its to late to go down to the garge
