Something that`s been due for some time now:

Got till monday morning to get this done cause then I should be participating in the charity rally against school bullying. Had a slight mishap with the resin as it`s many years old and had gooed up cause the solvent had vaporised. Studied the net that said it should be diluted with Styrene but guess what, fresh out. Some had used Acetone so I poured a dash of thinner to the vat. Apparently the other part, Toluene acts as a pretty aggressive accelerant cause when I got the patch wet I started hearing this odd sound and looked down: the freezer cup that I used to mix the ingredients was sizzling! Immediately ran it out in case it catches fire but luckily it only crystalized while smoking and sizzling aggressively. The odd part is that the resin that I layed onto the fiberglass mat had no hurry solidifying even though I mixed the heck out of the stuff in the cup. Guess the larger amount acted as an accelerant.

Actually, a week ago. Bought a 91 F2 ebay special. $450 only runs with the choke on. I havent started it yet. been cleaning and stripping it. I found the idle adjustment wasnt hooked to the carbs. That might be why it only ran with the choke on. If I can get it running good, my brother-in-law is going to do track days on it. If not I going to use it for spare parts and/or part it out. Front wheel is a little bent. Has 94 forks and aftermarket fender eliminator. The seller supposed to send a new chain and sprockets that he has no use for now. He said it ran great summer '13'. But this spring it wouldnt. I would post some pics but I just cant figure out how to do it.
Rode it to work... Not liking the sound the engine makes... almost like the cam chain`s about to give... can hear bearing roll, a clatter almost like metal tracks and all sorts of vibrations not present before... Came home and checked the oil level, almost full. Chain was loose but that I could spot out from the sounds and knew to expect it... dunno, might be looking at a total engine rebuild next winter... If I go down that route it`s probly gonna get new pistons or at least rings, new tranny, deffy a rejet... just don`t know where to scrape the money from...
Thanks, JNS. I got it plugged this morning which set me back like 45 dollars which still is far better than buying a new tire (at least 230 dollars here). Hopefully this will hold a season or two.
Ordered a Loobman chain oiler. Been looking for something like this as I NEVER remember to grease my chain but haven`t got the money to buy a Scottoiler (~100eur). This thing cost me 28eur shipped from GBR and uses pretty much any lean oil, we have a 20l jug of 80w90 differential oil at work which should last in this use something like forever... Will be doing a fitting and testing thread when it arrives.
Quick calculation, 200ml container lasts ~300km so it consumes 0,04ml/km, so a 20l jug should last something like 500 000km...
