I am tearing the old lady down for a rebuild. New parts on the way, now I just have to figure out a way to make a cool looking tail. In the best of worlds, the lights would be e-marked too. I'm thinking of cutting off some of the tabs and the front mount for the instrument cluster although that would mean my Beast would never be able to dress in her old school clothes again...

I took my F2 out for my first ride today. I just picked it up a couple weeks ago and have been going through it as I have time. I put everything together and flopped my shifter over for GP shifting. I just needed to trim the fairing a little, works great now. The shifts feel very positive and quick. I also used a different lever as the old one was bent up a bit. This one is off a '04 ex250 and it really works nice, the pivot point is in a better location so it actuates the shifter a bit better.

Listed it up for sale.

Gotta admit the feeling is bittersweet. Wistful even. Gonna have a hard time seeing it go...

Mattson, don't you even think about leaving this place though. I would never be where I am mechanically speaking if it weren't for you! Owe you bigtime for that!

Sadly it has to go in order to have the needed funds to finish the Daytona unless I win the lottery or sth. Really wouldn`t want to but since I need 2k to repair my wife`s car and another 1-1,5k to get the Alfa on the road I really don`t see another way... other than spraybombing the Triumph, and since you`ve been watching the build thread I`m sure I don`t have to tell you that option is strictly out of question...
