Default Speedo Light

My Speedometer light went out. I know its not a fuse. Is there a simple check I can do to fix this? All the other dash lights work.

How many bulbs illuminate the speedo?

Only the top half appears illuminated on my speedo.

Do I have to tear apart the dash part to get to it?

You can do it without taking the windscreen off but i wouldn't recommend it due to it being a pain in the a$$. So, take off your mirrors and your windscreen will pop right out, then there is 3 bolts holding your gauge cluster to the mounts. once the gauge cluster if off (after unplugging the wires) you will need a very small screw driver (fillips i believe) to take off the **** on the left side that resets your trip mileage. once that bad boy is off the block shroud will come right off and then you can take it from there!

Well just did it. I CAN SEE!!!! I found that after I changed nearly them all, the tach and speedo, I reassembled it and found that the temp light went out. DANG IT!!! Oh well, deal with it next. Thanks for the input.
