M.O.T speedo/rev instrument light problem

Default M.O.T speedo/rev instrument light problem

hay peeps got me M.O.T on the 15 few weeks back my speedo/rev instrument lights started to play up left hand of speedo n right n side of rev counter n temp would light up in the middle would not light up i strip the unit and replaced all the bulbs n i replace the plastic/metal strip on the back but for the life of me i cant get one bulb to light up the bulb that will light up the missing section here are a few pics i can provide more

i just need some help to try and work out what im doin wrong

a brand new part is around 170-200 alot of cash i dont have n M.0.T in 2 weeks

did you replace the bulbs with incandescent or led bulbs?

i replaced the bulbs with the original spec not led as i have two speedo/rev instruments but dosent seem to work.

have you tried other bulbs that you know are working in that slot?
if so then all i can really suggest is to clean the contacts really good.

Would it fail the MOT. I'd check with the garage before I start sweating it.

There is something to be said for owning a 25yr old machine with plain old wires!

Hope you get it sorted.

Hi yes I've tried other bulbs n or connectors its seems the copper has rusted away so I'm looking around for a spare part or a temp fix might try a bit of tin foil to get a connection.

cheers for ur info chaps ive resolved the issue cleaned the board at the back n tried to show as much copper as possible n put the connectors in n moved them slowly till thy connected and all is good now
