Default Spark plug access

So I want to double check and make sure my spark plugs are still tight before the season. What is the best way to access them I have gone through the air duct before. Is it easier/possible to just drop the radiator a few inches leave the hoses connected avoiding taking off the tank. Or go through the sides with special tools? I have a street fighter so everythings already open. Any suggestions. Also any tools to make it easier. Thanks.

I usually just pull the side access hatches and go in there with the right size wrench/sockets. I've changed all 4 plugs without anything more than that.

Adrenalnjunky is right. If you've got a wrench and the right socket/adapter that will reach down to the spark plug you are good to go. All I'd add to that is that it's a bit of a tight squeeze in there so a little patience is required while you manouver your tools in place. I don't like to wear gloves so I can feel what I am doing and grazed knuckles are not uncommon.

Yeah - at times I think I had to put the socket on a short extension, and get that into the sparkplug hole, then attach the ratchet. It was tight, but doable.

A 3 inch extension, whatever size the standard spark plug size is socket(5/8, or 3/84),and an extendable magnet do wonders for checking plugs. The magnet helps but is very handy if you drop bolts or lock your keys in your car and have to jimmy them out of your sunroof!!! < nothing to do with a motorcycle but a FINE tool.lol You have a streetfighter BUT you had to take the tank off to get to the spark plugs???? .

Best way I guess involves the most work, but you shouldn't have to take the tank or radiator off to snug the plugs. I easily changed all 4 plugs by only removing the side access panels and since yours is a street fighter, you shouldn't have a problem. As long as you have a short extention and the right size socket. This really is a simple procedure.
