I tried to do the throttle tube last night, I got the 2 screws off of the run switch, then popped the top of the cover off. Well how do I get the throttle cable off? If i use some needle nose pliers and turn the throttle the wire goes with it, it doesn't give you any slack to pull the wire out from the little hook. If you know what im talking about.

Now, what are the chances I could get by another summer without changing the sprockets and chain. I dont want to push them if its THAT bad but if I could get another summer out of them it would be nice. I will only drive about 2,000 miles at the MOST. My Camaro is my dd so this is just to have fun with. Ill post up some pictures in about 5 hours.

So i take that as a no?

Here are the pics of my sprockets, chain, and brake pads. Do the brake pads look like they are fine? They look like they aren't too close to the metal but im not a bike guy.

Turns out im just going to get a front axle brand new, I found out today that you should replace your front axle every 2 or 3 times you replace your front tire, reasoning why is because you loose 20% of the holding grip on the bolt and internal nut and it goes up even more from there on out.

But anyways, any help on the throttle tube? how do I get the cable off of it? Do I have to get new sprockets or can I hold off a summer?

Thanks a ton!!!

I was looking into the 520 conversion, but I think I might go stock. Links?

As for the front axle, it needs to be replaced either way, I was a retard and hit he axle through with a ratchet and messed up the threads. ... Yes i know ... i know,I more than learned from that mistake. At least it wasn't too expensive ofone, but it wouldn't matter if I got the chain and sprockets now or later, i wouldn't be able to drive it. let alone Michigan weather. But ok I will for sure put chain and sprockets on the list, i appericate your opinion on it.

^^ I hear ya. What kind of grease shoud I put on it?

Here is a link from Dennis Kirk, is this what I want?
http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...mp;mmyId=13834

Dealership wants 43 for the axle, 8 for a new bolt.

How about the throttle tube?

Whats wrong with the tires I posted up?
