Ran fine, got wet, now wont start.
Put about 100 miles on the F2 today. Got back home and let it sit for a bit. Then got bored and decided to wash it. After washing the bike, it no longer starts. The starter works however the motor wont turn over. I have tried the suggestions in the Clymer manual without success. Anybody else have any ideas? I have all the plastic off now ready to troubleshoot.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Ran fine, got wet, now wont start.
Normally clean water wont cause any problems to the electric system, but polluted water might (like, say...soapy water).
So I would suggest to spray over the entire bike with clean water, the let it all dry before you try to start it.
Also make sure that no water got trapped, like for instance beneath the spark-plug caps, fuse cover and so on.
If it still doesnt start, then make sure that nothing has come loose during cleaning. Spark-plug leads, coil-leads, fuses and so on.
Still wont start? Well then you probably need to remove the fairings for a closer inspection.

Tip: If you got access to an air-compressor this does wonders for blowing away trapped water from all those litte hard to get to areas.
