Default Power/Cigarette Outlet for Radar Detector?

I am away from my bike over Christmas break. I was thinking of buying a Cobra XRS 9945 for my car and bike.

(
Amazon.com: Cobra XRS 9945 Voice Alert 15-Band Radar/Laser Detector with Full-Color DataGrafix Display, Digital Compass, and Upgradeable Features: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Cobra XRS 9945 Voice Alert 15-Band Radar/Laser Detector with Full-Color DataGrafix Display, Digital Compass, and Upgradeable Features: Car Electronics
)

Before I buy it I want to know if there is an outlet for it to plug into and does it have a powerful enough output to power the cobra? Or do I need to instal my own?

Thanks.

Yes it does have enough power. It runs on 12v power. All you would need to do is create a connection for the cigarette charger port. My friend did the same exact thing, except he used it to power his Tomtom GPS on his R1.

Do you think you could ask him for me how he created that connection?

There are plenty of kits available, just do a google or ebay search.

Be sure that it's weather-proof, though. Might consider a relay,
so it doesn't drain the bike if you forget to turn it off.

I coughed up the bucks for a OEM Honda interstate plug w/cap.

Not strictly what you're looking for but here's links to a couple of cool sites, as well...
