Default Fitted Cigarette Ligher Outlet for GPS?

Has anyone here installed a cigarette light outlet to power a GPS?
..and, how would I mount the GPS?
There's next to no room around the cockpit and i'm clueless on how to attach an "arm" to affix a gps for touring. There's not really a lot of room anywhere.

Any recommendations and/or pictures?

Thanks!

F.

There's a specially designed "arm" to mount a GPS
Yes, but fit a cig lighter unit with a rubber cover to keep the water out. It can be fitted in the LHS fuse box cover, or pretty much anywhere.
See Tony Dillworth's article (and others) on GPS fitment:

Plenty of history on this if you're keen. Do a search.

What's the fun in riding if you can't get lost on occasion (unless, of course, you're running out of gas).

I, for one, absolutely agree with you! However, the woman on the backseat may not.

Also, for touring, i think a GPS is almost a must these days.

It will be going up on ebay next week as I have ordered a TomTom Rider Which uses (and is supplied with) the same type of mount google RAM MOUNT

As for power supply i have just had these delivered

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=300284164198

I have yet to decided where to mount them

I would also strongly recomend that you follow the instructions here

http://www.canyonchasers.net/shop/generic/relay.php

to give yourself a readly available ignition on power source tapping point (I have already done this bit )

rofl

thats the MEDIUM aquabox mate - they do a medium WIDE version as well as a large

works very well though - I was worried about handling / vibration etc but was assured by someone on here that it wasnt a problem and they were right

If I was the kind of person that had got his bike up to 150mph OR up on the back wheel then i would be able to say that it remains as steady as a rock
