oil in alternator housing?

Default oil in alternator housing?

Is this normal? I have developed a leak and wondered if the oil should even be in the housing? Thanks

do you mean the stator? if so, then yes. there should be oil in there.

Prolly why the gasket is there.... I had to make that gasket myself...Works like a champ.

+1. Oil is normal, replace the gasket.

Part# 11392-MV9-670 works with all CBR600's, and the 900RR.
