Headlight housing
I went and got some of the good silverstar headlight bulbs last night, went home to install them. i got the left side in just fine. stick it in the slot and then twist it to lock it in place. I go and do the right side (hi-beam) and the housing isnt designed for it to turn and lock.. It just slides in there and i guess the rubber boot holds it in.. That and the high beam shines lower than the regular headlight. I just bought the bike and after messing with it for a little bit i kind of wonder if it has been down before and some stuff replaced with aftermarket stuff. I was just wondering if everyones high beam housing was like that or if everyone elses is able to lock in place. Thanks guys

Wrong forum. However my f4i is '01 and it has spring clips that hold the headlights in. Both sides. The bulbs slide into place and then the clips latch over the back. Plus the headlight housing is a complete assembly so it should work the same on both sides unless yours was damaged and they tried to repair one side.
