Throttle Housing help please!!!
THROTTLE HOUSING HELP PLEAZE!!
Okay, so to start, my basic problem is the throttle housing on my CBR600F2 got torn off in a wreck, the bike has been sitting for a week, (with the petcock off so I'm praying the carbs don't get gummed), anyways, I re-ordered the part(s) from my local parts place, which basically encompassed the Piece with the Electric Start and the Killswitch with a throttle tube of course.
Now, my F2 Manual has absolutely NO section on throttle maintenance, and I virtually have nowhere else to go but here, Now, the broken throttle housing was just hanging there on the bike, I finally got it partly unscrewed and one of the throttle cables came out real easily, no trouble, the second one I'm having quite a bit of trouble with, and on top of that, the cable seems like it's not even supposed to come out!!! I'm seriously about to smash the old one just to get the second cable out, (why my CBR has two cables in the throttle housing I HAVE NO IDEA, it's supposed to be that way I'm sure.) Anyways, can I get some general help on this problem? Anybody got a guide for it?
Any advice on the things in parentheses would be welcome to... I know it's a long post but I really am worried about the bike, I wanna have it running soon... PLEASE HELP GUYS, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

The throttle has 2 cables so a push / pull system keeps tension on the throttle, snapping it closed when released. On the throttle tube, the cable is held in place in a hole with a slot on the other side.
If you have one cable off, you should be able to rotate the throttle to put slack in the other cable. When you have slack, you should be able to push the cable out of the hole in the tube. You might have to twist / rotate it a bit to get it. Don't use needle nose on the throttle cable, despite the temptation. You may kink the cable which can cause it to catch and not allow the throttle to snap closed properly (been there, done that, replaced the cable).

That was very insightful, but you may have missed what I was asking, The throttle tube got snapped off in the wreck, lol. So the cables are hanging there in the housing, so I bought new housing, and a new tube, but one of the cables won't come out of the old throttle housing so that I can put the new one on

Take a pic of what you're talking about.
