Default mount for my motorola DROID

hey i just installed a mount for my cell phone. the motorola droid. it has gps and all the goodies so i take it everywhere. i bought the car mount for it and just modified it to fit my bike. its so awsome! i would show you what it looks like with my phone in it but i used it to take the pic. lol.

it can pivot in all directions and its sturdy a a rock!

im jealous. So with the gps, does it tell your speed too?

yeah it does. the phone is bad A**! it does everthing!! i can even take a video while it
s in the mount so i can record my drives

****. im about to get a droid too this month. I will actually have a speedo now. Is the GPS app free?

Yeah, its Google maps. On android phones, Google Maps does turn by turn voice nav.

Back on topic: while the mount may be stable, how secure is the phone in the mount? Would hate for my Droid to go flying at 90.

lol yeah actully its clicks in. to get it out you have to pull pretty hard. i was thinking about that too. i miht come up with a safty back up . but its pretty stable ive been testing it with my phone out of the holder so far so good.

The Droid is definitely FTW.

There are two different mounts you can buy from Verizon right now. One is the version the OP has. The second is the one my wife got. It actually comes with a case for the phone which has a swivel clip deal. You can switch between a belt clip and the car mount.

I am sure they would both be pretty secure. I'd still be kind of worried about it myself though but it does seem like it would be just fine with either mount.
