I would change the oil soon because of the antifriction additive that they for car motor oil, which is one reason why (the only one I know) it is bad for the clutch. You might even want to do a flush of the system (ie change the oil ride the bike for a while and change it again) just to make sure you got it all out. I am not sure about your lines, maybe check to make sure you made a good seal between the filter and the box, I know my instructions said remove a gasket, but mine didn't have one.

thread highjacking i know but as long as the oil is not an energy conserving oil or contains moly it will not harm clutches
unless you have actually tested the oil then you shouldnt scare the guy

check out this site
http://hooliganbiketech.dynup.net/ho...frameindex.htm

he tested out mobil 1 red cap and mobil 1 extended performance in his bike and then sent it out to be tested
no problems or issues

That site is pretty nice has a lot of useful information. BTW I wasn't trying to scare TennesseeCBRF2, just wanted to save him a lot of headaches just incase it was going to destroy his clutch, which from every other post I have read and other things I have read, car motor oil is bad for bikes. According to that website oils with moly (Molybdenum) are 'ok', because the Honda brands he tested had a some in it and the Honda HP4M had the most by a huge amount (personally I still wouldn’t use one with it in it). PS the site answers the age old question of if it is ok to use WD40 on the chain! (Not to change the subject or anything, but I have been reading posts with arguing for and against wd40).

OK I finally got my bike back today. Apparently I hooked the fuel lines back up wrong. The engine was only running off 2 cylinders, and I fouled the plugs on cylinders 1 and 2. So, to correct the fuel lines, remove, clean and replace the fouled plugs, and do an oil change was $87. Now the mystery is solved. Lesson learned: ALWAYS do things the proper way without shortcuts. Always label hoses and wires that you're going to disconnect. On a side note, maybe it's just because I haven't ridden in a week, but that K&N filter with a slip-on and jetting really makes a difference in mid power.
