RE: just need to vent
Yo dude, it's alright, just slow down and take your time. I know it's hard when you want to see it done already. But just use thin coats and wet sand in between, and give it plenty of time to dry before the next coat.
Start on another piece and let the first fairing with the bad paint dry completely (maybe even a couple of days), it will be easier to remove dry than tacky.
If you need help, let me know.
Hint: Don't paint while you're pissed at it.

i know the feeling man. i was fed up with painting by the end of my repaint job, mostly because it was my first time and i really didnt know what i was doing! im sure it will be worth it in the end and i know i have a bigger sense of pride about my bike since i did it myself. good luck man!
