Just bought an F2
<Edited> I erased what I originally wrote.
If someone in the Cleveland area is willing to donate their used CBR OEM oil filter I will attempt to cut apart and measure the element. I have a Purolator PureOneoil filter sitting new in a box that I lost the reciept for so i will cut that one open as well. I'm going to order a bunch of the Purolator ML OE spec oil filters and will cut one of those open as well. Those sites with pics and stuff are nice, but if we keep argueing about how much media is there the cut aways done haven't proven a thing.
Heck, I'll call the local dealer and see if they wouldn't just hand me a used or damaged filter.
I cannot test micron size, but all that I will test will meet or exceed oe specs and have the proper bypass ratings. I'd like some sugestions of what you would want measured. I plan on total filter surface as well as other visable items I notice. I know this may not convince some, but if I can save enough on every oil change to pay for that last .7 liters of synthetic oil, and te filter is at least as good as OEM, I think it's worth the time.
