Just bought an F2
Hey guys just bought an F2 and was wondering a few things. First off what repair manuals do you guys like, Clymers or Haynes? Second, when I bought my F2 the guy gave me an APE manual cam chain tensioner and I heard the manuals were better so are they hard or easier to install. Lastly, sadly this a very newbie question....where is the air filter in comparison to the bike that way I can check it and not have to tear apart the whole bike just to see if I need to buy one or not. Thanks ahead of time and I look forward to sticking around.

I've got the Haynes manual #2070- I like em cause they're about as detailed as you can get, lots o pix, good instructions. Used them for all of my cars. There is a link somewhere on this site to an Adobe PDF of the Honda Service Manual, it's alright -but unless you print it out, you can't get the pages greasy. When I find it, I'll edit it in.
Welcome to the club, just got my F2 too.

What sucks about the service manual that you can download on line is that there are no specs listed for torque settings or other measurements for engine and trans parts. (section 1 was missing in my download version) I bought the service manual from eBay for like $10 and it has everything.
My bike came with a K&N and I did not know it. I pulled everything apart when I bought another K&N to change and it hit me that I already had one in the bike. The extra sits now nice and clean waiting for the swap next time. Sure beats waiting for the old one to dry after you washed it. Now I can get back on the road in minutes rather than hours.

Here's a link to the page I found, it's about halfway down.
https://cbrforum.com/m_45555/tm.htm
Like Mike said, it lacks important info. But if you just need to look something up, it might work... though not clickable in the back index - very slow to find what you want.
Get the Haynes, they're good.
Also, you might want an original Honda Owner's Manual if you don't have one. Here is the link toit bythe company that prints them for Honda.

hang on I think I know where another one is...
Ok... about a quarter way down the page are four links to the file on different servers - look for the heading: CBR600 F2 (1991-1994)
otherwise do a search in google or yahoo for:
Honda_CBR_600_F2_91-94_Service_Manual.zip

Go to http://www.stephygee.com/and make it through the first few flash intros. Bottom left is a download for the F2 manual. Missing section 1, but there are plenty here who can give you the info you need from that section.
