Head gasket leaking oil
My head gasket is leaking oil on the whole exhaust side. I have a 91 honda cbr f2 35k on it. I have tried a new head gasket twice it still leaks. The head has no warpage at all machine shop checked it out the deck of the block is fine too. I have the bolts torque to 38ft lbs the hanes book says 35. Only thing is i remmeber when i took the head off a washer fell off from that side but there is no spot for a washer at all. The oil is leaking between the head gasket and the head.... Any thoughts. help really appreciated
Are you sure you got the old gasket all the way off?
Are you sure it's the gasket that's leaking and not the rings?
I don't know if it's suggested, someone else might be able to tell...but maybe using form-a-gasket. to help seal it.

The original head gasket is 3 piece all metal gasket so old residue isnt left over. My bike has never burned oil ever. So im kind of stuck at the momment. Is 35 ft lbs not enough?
