I Want fan to come on at 1/2 way not 3/4?

I have full coolant in my f2 and was told not to have full coolant. is there a way instead of hard wiring the fan to a switch to kick it on around 1/2 way instead of 3/4

my buddy rebuilt an f3. he rigged up a toggle switch by the fuse box whenever he wanted it on hed flip the switch.

Yeah, I test rode a goldwing set up the same way. On cool days you don't need it at all on hot days you just leave it switched to "on" all the time. Doesn't hurt it.
