Question F2 will not start

A friend of mine did an engine swap. The starter on the new engine was bad. So we put the old starter on the new engine. So we go to push the start button NOTHING. yes the switch is in RUN. I can jump the starter relay and the starter spins and turns the engine over. He has 3 starter relays (used) out of this engine swap deal. We have tried all 3 relays NOTING. Am I missing something ???? Thanks in advance with any help.

Fuel/Air/Spark. Make sure you have all three.

Right now I am not worried about any of that. I need the starter to spin.

In neutral? Also, if the switch is in RUN, is it electrically in RUN (switch is working properly)?

Oh sorry, read it as you could get the starter to spin but nothing happened. Make sure all your connections are secure. Might have to take apart the handlebar controls and clean the contacts out. It can get a little gunky in there.

I would take a voltmeter and trace all the wiring from the contacts on the starter to the battery and to the starter button.
