F2 Tire question.
Another factor is tire clearance. My 96 F3 had a 180/55 rear when I got it but it was mounted on a 4-1/2" F2 rim. I had another rim which was 5" F3 wheel and also ran a 180/55 tire and still running that size. I personallycouldn't tell any difference between the two BUT I don't ride hard. There is3/8" clearance on the sides between tire and chain and there was no rear hugger on the bike when I got it and I think the 180 will not clear the hugger (probably why mine didn't have one). Performance wise, depends on YOUR riding habits and pattern. I've ran this tire setup for over a year BUT I don't do no knee dragging, curve hugging, hard riding, that's just me.
