Here are some photos of the rather ugly but fully functional engine plates that allow the Fireblade engine to slot straight into an F2 CBR600







Its not my swap but it is my bike! Other than the plates for the rear/top engine mounts on either side all the other mounts line up. The water pump has a very Heath Robinson looking flexi pipe connected to clear the frame and new plates, but it works. Oh and I didn't pain the frame red!
The bike rides great due to the engine, uprated suspension and sticky tyres. Not sure you could get much more fun in a sensible package for £700.
I have pondered making the bike a bit easier on the eye but I quite like the tatty street sleeper look!

Lol at the thread bump but way to be different and not scared to raise an old thread thart deserves to stay an inspiration.

 

The majority of looks like buying some steel stock and making mounts. It might be cheaper to find a wrecked 900 and use it as a donor bike.
