Default Definitive F2 to 900 swap...

I bought the engine, it should be here in a week or two. The donor motor is from a 1995 900 Fireblade that was built as a track bike. All I know is that it is without carbs, has a ported and polished head, recently rebuilt, ran great when pulled, and is without a starter. Planning on taking a pile of pics and writing up every step I take in this swap. Here's where I need a little help. Where should I post this massive and possibly long running How-To? And will the carbs off of my 600F2 fuel this track bike engine with enough jetting? Not that 900 carbs are hard to find or that expensive, but if I could reuse the carbs on my bike that would be a great help down the road for anyone else that wants to perform this swap. Help me through the details and I'll post the entire swap in a manner that should be simple and concise and read like a Do-It-Yourself book. Thanks guys!

Hey I've been interested in doing something like this too, but have not started any of the research yet. I really think it would be a great future project as I now have a rather larger left over parts bin. I'd like to know how this turns out for you and hope the how to is nice and detailed with tons of pics.
For extra help, I know someone who has done this swap once before sometime in the late 90's and has helped a couple others source parts and guide them through the process. If you get stuck or can't figure something out post it and I can try to contact him (not sure on the carbs, he'll be back in town next week though).
As for the proper place to post I have no idea, sorry.

Glad to hear that someone that's done this before can be reached for some tech help. I'm definitely going to post a lot of pics and be as detailed as I can in the description of every step I take.

if the 900 carbs are large which im almost certains, they are, there will be a difference not only in the fuel flow but the air flow as well. Meaning even if u could match the fuel flow for the ported header su wont match the needed airflow. Thats my .02

I'm fairly confident they're setup differently, and even if they aren't, you'd have to take a bundle of blind shots in the dark to get the jetting correct.

The powerplant has arrived!!! Here are some pics even though I haven't started working on it yet...Or maybe not....Damn it! This is not so easy from my phone. I'll post the pics in the gallery so that they don't have to be re-formatted.
