click-click noise

Default click-click noise

i have a 92 f2 and when the bike is cold it makes a click-click noise, the noise stop when it warms up?

Any ideas?

could also be the CCT noise these things are famous for with the factory CCT. CCT= cam chain tensioner. its right above the clutch on the right side, you gotta pull the clutch cable bracket off to remove the CCT though and put in a manual one.

The CCT will make noise when you let off the gas...the going away as it warms up is pretty indicative of tight valves. with 18K on it, if its never been done I would expect quite a few of them are out of spec.

You can ride it without getting them adjustedbut it will gradually loose power. Its not a cheap job, around 250-500 depending on labor rate in your area and the number of shims required. The job is not impossible to do yourself, but unless you are 3 out of 5 on the mechanically inclined scale, I wouldn't recommend it....not much is required in the way of special tools.
