I got this swing-arm stand from an eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/GomotoShop_To...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

It works very well and is priced very nicely compared to others I've seen...but they don't have a front-stand version. My buddy has a front stand that just has a 90 degree wedge on each side that holds the bottom of the forks, it's adjustable in and out and works great...but I think it was more than double the rear stand posted above....maybe you get what you pay for though.

My stand is made by Concepts in Aluminum. 1/4" T6 box aluminum hand tig welded. If you have spools it already has the spool attachment on it.

Hope this helps. Here is a picture of it -------------------------------------------------->

There are two 3 types of front end stand. The expensive kind (pitt bull for instance) that go into the steering head and lift from there. (The nicest kind) and then there are the types that lift on the forks, one has bosses that stick up and go into the holes on the bottom of your forks, the other is a two piece rubber design that is staggered and lifts up while "cradeling" the forks.

Real Pit Bull stands are THE way the go. A little pricier but made best. The first time one of those cheap stands slips and dumps your bike on the ground you'll wish you bought them.

I recently asked this same question on this board. Here is a link to that discussion.

I also bought T-Rex stands off ebay...and they are great stands. Very sturdy and easy to use. One man job. And with the universal rear attachment, they can be used for virtually any bike.

They are alot sturdier than you think. Have you used them?

thanks for the imput.. the reason I was asking was i just bought a micron exhaust and i had to take the center stand off. I just got the exhaust put on and it has a tab for the stopper for the center stand. so I could put it back on if I wanted.. but i will probably just buy some stands instead.. thanks

I've used just about all them, our shop has two sets of Pit Bulls, and my racing buddies has those, no comparison to the qualitity and security of the bike.
