Default Chain and Sprocket Question

My Bikes Front Sprocket has a 520 stamped on it, and my chain says 530. Is this going to affect anything. Is it bad to run this combination? Need Advise.

I wouldnt run a 530 chain on 520 sprockets. The chain is bigger than the sprockets. The 530 is the correct size chain for the F2/3. People use the 520 for lighter weight. You lose durability and length of service with the lighter chain.

Thats my opinion. there are many more in depth posts on chain and sprocket sets on here. Long story short 520 isnt made to be paired with 530.

WOW! I can think of at least four bike wrecking, bone crunching reasons to NOT run mismatched chain and sprocket sizes. If you decide to do it anyway, good luck with those medical bills.

don't do it and check your rear sprocket too. If it's 520 also then use a 520 chain. never mix sizes.

just replace everything to stock. if you race or have money to blow, go with the 520 conversion.
if not, might aswell stick with the 530. but if you feel like you want a little more off the line torque go ahead and change your sprocket gearing. if not, keep it stock.
