oh and another thing is. Tighten every bolt down with locktite. I kept lossing bolts. I also noticed today my ped/ shifter bracket is very loose. That would suck if it fell off.

have you looked at any local scrap yards? thats where i look when i need miscelaneous little things. just go find a similar bike and remove nessecary hardware. usually cheaper than cost of new + shipping.

Picked up some locktite. Any bolts I take out over the winter will get locktited down

I didn't look. I don't know where there is one really close and the others that I DO know about I never saw a single bike there when I did go (got lots of random bits for my cars over the years, $10 for a used AC compressor? Thank you sir! lol). I will keep that in mind though, there might actually be some around here?

Of all this talk about where to find the bolt, why not just go down to the dealership and get one. Yea it'll be like $9 but it wont be rigged up...

When this happened to me I used a 10mm bolt but had to put a sleeve on it because the pivot part is larger than the actual thread on the bottom. Then I finally broke down and went to the dealership...

Already got the replacement from bikebandit and it is installed

There is a dealer but it is about a 30 minute drive. Given that it would cost me $6 in gas to get there, it was just easier to pay shipping and get it sent to me

The links provided here are really good though not only as a source for parts but finding exactly what part you need!

Glad to hear it! It's always safer to use the oem parts, instead of trying to make something else work..

For sure. Especially now that I can afford to do it properly. I don't have to resort to using zip ties to holding the radiator in my car anymore

I just feel better doing it right with something that I am sitting on instead of sitting in.
