Default bolt for clutch handle?

Anybody know where I can just buy this bolt?

I figure it should be a similar hex job like the brake?

Its not quite the same as the brake one. On the brake the bolt threads directly into the hinge, wheras on the clutch its a bolt with a lock nut on the other side. I'd probably get the oem one since you need a certain threaded and threaded length, highly unlikely the hardware store will have one that will work right. Also you want that bolt to be highly polished (like oem) to prevent sticktion of the clutch lever.

Not sure what you mean about it being a "hex job" its got a head for a flathead screwdriver and the nut is a 10mm (i think).

Looks like you need parts number...

233756-001 (bolt) $5.53 from bike bandit.
6093-001 (nut)

I figured it would have been a hex drive. Since the bolt was missing I didn't know what it looked like

Thanks for the link and the part numbers. I am sure I'll have more questions over the winter!

BikeBandit is an amazing site! They have that huge parts catalog with schematics and you can pick the parts you need from that list! Nice!

Did the bolt come out while you were riding? This happened to me! Sucks when you try to come to a stop and the clutch is still engaged!! I had to shove a rock in there to get home.

dont rule out hardware bolt... i accidently stripped my axle bolt when taking off my wheel and i went over to true value, found one with the same thread, pitch and length and it was only 2.29 for the bolt... that bolt at jim maroneys motorcycle was 16.50... i started replacing alot of bolts on my bike and car with these bolts. If you want, go to the autostore and buy a Honda bolt set, its about $17 and comes with every bolt, every size, every pitch and length that honda usually uses intheir car and motorcycles

yeah just get a bolt that fits. 10mm sounds about right. It'll be a little sloppy but will work and if you want find a small nut to put on the bolt first and it'll stop the sloppiness. costs like 50cents
