I don't think it's possible to draw amperage without drawing at least 1 volt. If you have a Clymer's manual I would check the rectifier. It gives you step-by-step instructions on how to test it. It's been a long time since I've taken physics, so don't flame me if I'm wrong about the electrical thing.

Your right! you need to draw load from the battery to get an amp reading, even if you have a short you could still be drawing milli amps mA,

They are yanking your chain telling you that, all the battery does in effect is store voltage,
you need amps to charge the battery, & anything you turn on effectivly draws amps for eg starting could take up to 60A while turning over the engine.
Have you checked the terminals on the Starter Relay/solenoid ?? sometimes they go green with corrosion a good way to check if you can turn the bike over is short across the 2 big terminals on the relay, the engine should turn over if not it could be anything from dirty terminals to a duff relay

I have no Idea how they could tell you had no amps in your battery

the best way to check your battery is get someone with a high rate discharger/battery tester
look at the cells as you do this , if any fizzzzz, that will tell you the battery is f%$ked

ok well i got a new voltage regulator/rectifier and a battery and even changed the CDI box(when i did the 900RR swap)
i put in the new regulator and charged the old battery with my charger/tender still the same problem so i got a BRAND new battery again (3rd) charged the battery and then everything was fine started right up! took it out for a ride and it was fine came home and parked it.
next time i went out to start it nothing lights were fine but no start!!! AGAIN[:@][:@][:@]

there is not even a click from the starter relay or anything!!! lights are all bright though??

i changed the motor so its not the stator or anything on the motor! because i had the problem before the swap and after??

i checked all the fuses too!

PLEASE HELP!!
