You might want to check your handlebar... Ive had this problem with many of my bikes, sometimes it was becasue of the throttle cables were kinked but more time than that it was that the handlebar was slightly bent. You cant really tell from just looking at it but if you put a small level on it you will be able to se the slight bend. If changing out the nylon doesnt work then it is forsure that your handlebar is bent. Im finishing up a bike right now as we speak and i have the same problem! Hope you get it fixed! Good luck...

i have gotton it slightly better.I took the grip off and just lubed under it and all.it deffinitly alot looser..But i dont doubt what your for a second I will deffinitly be checking that out tonight..

Mine was sticking, despite lubing the cables and tube repeatedly. It would return on it's own, just not quickly, and it seemed a little hard to turn. So Saturday, when I took everything apart for bead blasting and painting, before I put the clip on back on, I polished the handlebar where the throttle tube rides with some 240, then 400 grit emery cloth, then lubed it up and reassembled it. Now if you twist it and let go, itSNAPS back with a click you can hear. My bike even feels like it's got better throttle response!
