Buy a smaller tub?

Should be able to get some for like $10.

Just buy it and keep it around, lots of uses for grease

I'm totally new here, and new to motorcycles, but I'll just add that I've used cheapo axle grease on wheel bearings on my car before and the cheapo stuff literally turns into liquidy junk in a few months on wheel bearings. I bought a tub of nicer synthetic axle grease like a year ago and never put the dust cap on the axles and the stuff still looks perfect. I think the tub was only like $10... totally worth it and you end up finding other uses for it (like dipping your car's lug nuts in it so they don't seize up).

I'll just note that a light smear on motorcycle axles is ONLY to prevent rust, it does not lubricate anything, well... It may help to slide the axle in and out, but it's purely a rust inhibitor.
