RE: Another Battery thread.
blkf2 ur comment would be perfect if this was a gramma site. tenn cbr im charging the batt on a tender as i type, i'll check it out tomorrow and see what the verdict it. i understand if that fails it would by all means have to be another component of the batt n charging system, but if that were the case, how would i tackle that. could be a number of things. stator/cables/fuses/regulator etc. i would sure like to narrow it down if possible. will update after i check the charge tomorrow.

ok, thanks for clearin up blk. no 1 likes a wise ***. i took the batt of the tender today and tried it. i believe it had about 10 volts (got an o'l school volt meter, kinda hard to read little lines) but bottom line not enoug charge to start the bike. once again, jumped it and was runnin fine, but i noticed after about 10 min of doin wheelie's, the batt didnt seem to have any charge at all, horn was going faint, bike was losing power at low idles. i think all this stemed from jumping the battery the wrong way. i jumped it with the negative term goin to the dead batt not a ground, stupid me. and i think that aided greatly in damaging the batt. does this sound accurate? i guess im in the works for a new batt[:@]

yeah i would say that you will need a nwew battery, if you jumt it and it runs for a while your chatgiong system may be good still and your battery will not accept it. i would try a new battery and pick up a cheap dvom (digital volt/ ohm meter and check to see what your charging output is.
