Default 600f2 -92 Knocking sound on warm engine??

I have a weird problem on my CBR, the engine makes a very high knocking sound on warm engine. Cold engine doesn't make any remarkable sound, but when the engine is running at normal temperature, the sound appears. You can hear the sound on 1500- 6000 RPM, and on higher rounds, then engine noise covers the knocking sound. Engine works normally, and I haven't found any power losses. I have renewed camchain tensioner, and it fixed some problems, but the knocking sound is still there. Does anyone know any solutions for my problem? Would valve problems cause this kind of knocking? and especially on warm and not on cold engine? Could valve "configurations" help and is it hard to adjust by yourself? Could bad spark plugs cause this kind of problems, or air-leak, or "not tightened excausts"?

*Could* be a spark/fuel problem with not enough octane (detonation) but most tikes when you hear knocking it will be crankshaft/rods or pistons.

What type of Cam Chain Tensioner did you replace your worn out one with?

If it's a manual tensioner, have you set it up properly?

I bought the new and original cam chain tensioner, I installed it just as descripted in the book called " Honda CBR600F2 91-94" with 196 pages. I understood that only thing that matters on installation is which way you attach the cam chain tensioner seal. Is it hard to measure that is the valve timing right? I use Fuel 95E and i'm nearly sure that it is the same as descriped in the owners manual. But if it is a valve problem doesn't it make sound on cold and warm engine? not only on warm engine..

The original cam chain tensioner is "automatic" (self-adjusting), they wear out over time.

The knocking that is caused by a worn out CCT is the cam chain slapping on the guides and CCT, it's not actually valve clatter.

If the CCT is left for too long, it can get so bad that the chain will jump a tooth and throw off your timing... If that happens, then your valves are pooched.

Yes, i purchased original cam chain tensioner and it is working by oil pressure... And I have driven with it over 3000 kilometres and if the cam chain hadn't been tight, it should have already jumped out of teeths...? And the engine works just fine and it got almost all powers left, only the knocking sound is teasing me.....

Sorry, I would have to hear the sound and be with the bike to find it...

Not easy to do that kind of thing online

Hey!

I have this same problem on my 93 F2. I'm changing my cct tomorrow, which is toast, but I've gotten some good time listening to what a bad cct sounds like. And it doesn't seem to correspond with the weird knocking that we're describing. I heard someting else describe it as "a little man sitting in he engine, knocking it with a little wooden mallet. The knocking is fast, like 2 knocks every second, and when the I revv the bike, the knocking gets faster paced, matching the engine, until the engine is too loud and drowns the knocking out. So this leads me to believe it has something to do with whatever the engine is speeding up when it revvs. Would this be pistons, or valves? ...I've only just mastered the electrical system... this is a little over my head. Any help?

Thanks!
