is their any tune ups for a 1990 fl to get more hp ?

 

1990 was the one year only F1 motor with all the mods. it made 10 more horsepower than previous years. the heads, porting, and carbs are the major differences.
I would get a full header and exhaust, K&N filter, and a stage 1 dynojet.

 

i have stage two jets and a race exhaust and k&n filter bt it still not made over 110bhp it closee but not their yet . is their a better cdi unit for these bikes and ingnition advancer retarder i really want to squeese more out of it but not buy bracking the bank .
i once had a 25hp nos kit fitted witch made alot of differance but had it removed before i blow the engine up . can anyone help please ?

 

it was rated at 93 from the factory, i'd say over 100 is good. i've heard of a spark advance, but not sure what it is or if they are still available.
520 chain coversion, and synthetic oil might help a tiny amount.

 

do you have an air/fuel meter hooked up when you put your bike on the dyno? one member said he had a faster 1/4 mile time when he switched from the stage2 down to stage1 jetting.

 

not to sure as it was done by the last owner . i hope to have it done in summer when i py it back together
